Even Consultants Have Fun

SPENDING TIME AWAY FROM MY COMPUTER

After going on working tangents that usually span month at a time, I finally got a chance to get away from my computer and home office to have a little fun. I took a weekend off from my workouts (which I regretted once I got back home), and I went to visit with some friends in South Jersey. I have to admit, all work and no play makes me extremely crazy!

I was so excited to get away to be with my best friends for a short time. On top of that, it was one of my best friend’s birthday weekend. Knowing that I hadn’t spent much time with these guys in so long, I was truly looking forward to our weekend together. Little did I know that this weekend was going to be as much fun as it was…

Did I mention there were videos of how much fun we were having?

My Godson is something special… Imagination at that age makes me wish I could get it back! It would certainly help in my professional career. And this was only Saturday morning!
As the weekend progressed, there were plans looming to create a birthday cake using fondant. It was my first time ever trying to see how fondant worked up close. After watching shows like Cake Boss and Charm City Cakes, I was ready to take it on! My best friend, Kim, did most of the work for her husband’s birthday. We had a lot of fun though. I had fun documenting the creation of the cake.
Anyway, we kept on with the on-going fun we had started on Friday. Just Dance 3 was funny to watch with these two going at it all day!
Playing the Xbox Kinect is something I enjoy doing at home, but it was 10x’s more fun playing with my second family! We must have played the dance games for hours taking turns and challenging each other to dance battles. Dance Central 2 was definitely the most fun to watch for the dance battles.
My Godson playing Puss In Boots the game for the Kinect.
Needless to say, I had so much fun I couldn’t even sleep! I look forward to our next adventure together.
